Sensory Space Design

How It Works

Now more than ever it is essential that we design our home spaces in a way that best facilitates work, play, and rest. Have an occupational therapist assess your child’s neurotypical or unique sensory systems and design a play or workspace that will best facilitate his or her engagement in daily routines. We use expert information about the sensory system to help your child attend to at-home learning, manage frustrations, and engage more seamlessly in family life.

What to Expect

The occupational therapist will assess your child’s sensory system using parent interviews and clinical observations. Then she’ll provide recommendations for sensory tools that can be installed and utilized in your home to meet your child’s needs. As part of the assessment and design, you’ll also receive recommendations for a daily schedule to best incorporate the tools.
